CBSE Tele Counselling

Central Board of Secondary Education, CBSE has launched a student helpline. The toll-free helpline is available from 8 am every morning till 10:30 pm until April 13 when the CBSE Board Examinations 2018 end. Students can call on the counselling helpline number provided below. The CBSE Class 10th and 12th Board Examinations start from March 5, 2018.

Addressing the problem of increased anxiety and stress, CBSE has been setting up the students helpline for the past 9 years. A total of 91 counsellors have been roped in for the exercise which includes principals, trainers counsellors, psychologists and special educators. Out of the total, 71 counsellors are available in India and 20 in Nepal, Saudi Arabia (Al-Khobar), Oman, the United Arab Emirates (Dubai, Sharjah, Ras Al-Khaimah), Kuwait, Singapore, Qatar and Japan, where centres of CBSE are located.

The number is 1800 11 8004 for India.

Students from anywhere in India can call on the number to speak about exam related anxiety. Whether it is a particular subject or the students are simply worried about not performing well, they can call on the number provided above. Information provided to the counsellors would be kept confidential.Operators are trained to answer general queries of the students. Students would be routed to principals and counsellors in case of exam-related stress and anxiety. If students are not comfortable calling, they can also mail their queries to or through the official website of CBSE.
